We had a very quiet day in the precious metals markets on Thursday, with gold ending slightly higher and snapping a four-day losing streak. Platinum and palladium tacked on modest gains of $3.10/ounce and $11/ounce to end the day at $1000/ounce and $1033/ounce respectively, but silver lost slight ground, ending off three cents to finish the day at $16.59.
