We saw a bit more volatility in the markets on Wednesday, somewhat to be expected in light of Janet Yellen’s highly anticipated testimony in front of Congress. The precious metals group finished up on the day as the market interpreted her remarks be somewhat on the dovish side. Gold and silver each closed up by $4.40/ounce and $.14/ounce respectively, but the upside action in both palladium and platinum was more pronounced, with each gaining roughly $20/ounce and $15/ounce.
